Not suitable for heating vents
I bought these to try to redirect heat from wall vents that were cranking it out -- I wanted the heat to distribute better rather than an undirected blast of heat. At first, I thought, oh, these are neat! They hold firmly with magnets, look nice, and they say they're unbreakable, so they should stand up to heat... Within 20 minutes, the heat vent had shut off with its emergency breaker because it had gotten so hot (thermostat set below 70 F). I pulled off 2 of the air deflectors and found that the plastic had melted and bubbles had formed in one. These would probably be great for air conditioning vents, but they are dangerous to use on heating vents from my experience.
