Overview of my experience with the Kit. Unpacking it, I only put one together as was so unimpressed I packed it right back up immediately after making this video for you all. I was hoping to have something I assemble ONCE and can break down and move. Not the case with this light kit. I typically move from place to place and have to travel for different projects. For this in particular item, you have to completely disassemble the entire kit to be able to pack it up. That means remove ever light bulb, remove the softbox pins holding it open etc. it comes with a travel bag, but its kinda useless as this is really meant to set up once and not move it easily. The material feels very flimsy, and the support rods feel TOO light. And not in that, "Hey cool, it must be an awesome material" light. More like "how thin can we make this? the tightening knobs felt like i really needed to tighten them to hold them in place, which again means I wouldn't be transporting this very often. I gave it 2 stars, because it's heart really is in the right place, and its actually pretty decent for the price. The quality is just too cheap. I was really disappointed in the quality and setup of this kit. if you are someone looking to set up a permanent lighting situation (which i dont really see as realistic but hey thats just me) this would be a pretty nice kit for you. if you're looking for something to pick up and take to different jobs, I'd highly recommend something else. Actual lighting seemed pretty good so like I said, if you have a single use for this it might be worth your time. Update on May 16th: Return shipping on this was about 45 bux for me so keep that in mind if this may not be for you, save yourself the extra cash on shipping.
