*NOTE: My review has nothing to do with the vendor, they sent the item I ordered at an excellent price. My review is STRICTLY for the Wahl Bravura blades. I am a professional groomer.* I'm extremely disappointed with Wahl Bravura blades lately. I've been a die-hard fan for years, I use my Brav for every dog's face/feet/fanny, every clean face/feet, every Chinese Crested, and every so often, to do teddy heads on head-shy dogs. But lately the blades SUCK. The basic blade is dull in 2 weeks. The Pro blade lasts maybe 3 weeks. I splurged on a black Diamond, it's only been 3 weeks and the thing is DEAD. I started doing sanis with a buttercut 10 blade a few weeks ago (DAYS after opening my new Black Diamond) because I was sick of having to redo my sanis over and over. So this crazy expensive Brav blade has been basically just for eye corners, clean faces, and paw pads and in 3 weeks it's useless. I only use on clean, dry dogs. My brav blades used to last at least 3 months! Sometimes up to 6 months! Other groomers in all different parts of the country have experienced similar issues, so I don't think it's a matter of a "bad batch" of blades. I honestly think Wahl is cutting corners to reduce the lifespan of their 5-in-1 blades, forcing us to buy them (at the incredibly inflated price) more often.
