The compatibility list indicates the Epson plug-in supports Fire HD - "3rd generation & later" . It does not. After multiple calls & many fruitless hours on the phone with Kindle tech support (horrible tech support), and many unkept promises to escalate the problem & have higher level tech support call me back, their response was that I needed to "contact your local I.T." It would be funny if it weren't so frustratingly pathetic. The "tech support" person, apparently in India from the very difficult to understand accent, after working from a scripted menu was totally unable to understand the issue. He kept asking me what my O.S. was -Windows or Mac. When I asked what he meant by "contact your local I.T.", he said " you must have a computer person you can call" I gave up on printing with my Fire HD 8 (5th generation), but then reconsidered & tried calling Epson. Great support, escalated problem & called back as promised. Found out app does not support 5th generation (2015) Fire HD 8 yet - expected to be included in upcoming update (time frame unspecified) For now, doesn't work. & Kindle tech support is an utter wasre of time.
