Where to begin. I DNFd this book 80 pages in and just skimming through a few other scenes. So the MMC saves women and children from sex slavery and pedophile rings (VERY clearly QANON conspiracy and I don’t know why no one has mentioned this yet), but yet he stalks and rapes the FMC? I guess for him it’s only okay to rape and abuse people if it’s for his benefit. I’m not even against a book with non con, or a dark romance. The MMCs character just makes NO SENSE. I would’ve preferred if he was just a psycho killer stalker and the author didn’t try to make him redeemable by making his job something that completely does not align with his actions. This book was a huge no for me.
