I don’t normally write reviews, but I bought this based on the product description and reviews and does not work for my needs. I do not have home internet, but I have an iPhone 6s and thought I could stream via my unlimited data plan. I really wanted to watch the Criterion channel app on my TV from my phone, and this attachment would mirror my iPhone just fine, until I hit play on a movie. I would get a message saying “Mirroring not supported,” as seen in the attached screenshot. Then I tried watching NFL playoffs streamed thru the NFL app (you can do this with Verizon, not sure about other carriers). I could see my iPhone mirrored on the TV again, but as soon as I hit play on the live stream, the tv screen went to black and only the audio came through. I will say that Disney+ mostly worked, but if I were to attempt to rewind or advance on the timeline, the audio would continue but the image would freeze. I’d always have to restart the app, unplug the hdmi cable, restart the app to advance to where I was, then plug it back in again. One time, I just tried to watch an episode on the Mandalorian without skipping and it STILL froze, about 15-20 minutes in, and had to be restarted. For the price, it’s completely unacceptable that 2 of the 3 apps were completely unusable and the third only partially worked. I’m puzzled by all these reviews stating it works for them... maybe it does for Netflix or Hulu, but it doesn’t work for my criterion or nfl apps.
