Do not buy this product. It is DEFECTIVE due to POOR design.
I am a loyal Withings consumer, I have their Body+ scale and the Sleep monitor, and both are great. However, Withings missed the mark on this one.
I purchased the BPM connect (new model) and the device never works, constantly giving an "Error 301" message right after starting a measurement. The outcome is: the cuff does not inflate and it is useless.
I figured this was a defective unit, so I ordered a replacement from Amazon. The replacement just arrived and - surprise - it does not work. Same defect. I asked a few colleagues to try and make it work just in case, and they are also unable to make this product work.
I contacted the costumer service and - although very polite - they are not able to help much. To put it under perspective, I am a trained pharmacist holding a Ph.D. candidacy in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Yet, Withings thinks I am unable to perform a proper blood pressure measurement (FYI: I do it on a daily basis on a professional capacity) and their costumer service does not do much to help besides telling you to try it again multiple times in different ways.
This product is NOT well designed and should never be sold on Amazon. I will make sure my colleagues and patients are aware of the "clinically validated" quality of Withings BPM products.
Right now I am trying to figure out with costumer service if they are able to finally provide a solution to this problem, otherwise I will be returning this second unit for a refund with Amazon and hope they remove this product from their listing.
Bad move, Withings. This is not how you establish your brand with health professionals.
--Update Nov 7th 2019--
After going through two defective units in a row, I decided to return the product for a full refund. During this period, I was able to connect with other costumers who had similar issues as I did. It looks like there is a serious quality control issue with this product, and Withings is selling it regardless. Costumer support is very slow in identifying the problem, only replying once a day, and every time giving you random instructions instead of taking swift action to make it right for the costumer. I honestly tried hard with this product and Withings because I did not want to invest in a different health ecosystem, but I was forced otherwise. My suggestion as a health professional: stay away from this product, way too many quality control and manufacturing issues, plus several other costumers have reported WILDLY inaccurate reading results. Omron has more reliable blood pressure monitors with similar connectivity functions, and this is the brand I recommend to my patients now.
