these are really nice glass containers, the lids seal nice and secure. However, like other reviewers, I found a glass shard in one of the bowls. I washed every lid and every container thoroughly before use, due to the reviews I had read, but the first time I used a larger round container, I was eating lunch at work and found an inch long piece of glass in my food! Luckily I saw it, especially since I had already eaten most of my food! It was very strange because I couldn't find where the shard came from. It wasn't until a few weeks later that I picked up one of the small round containers and felt the sharp edge where the piece must have chipped off when they were nested in my cabinet. Now I'm paranoid about these containers!
