Barnes' fawn-fest over his Alpha dog
The theme of Barnes' book: Bush is a great president because he does as he pleasees, ignoring a mythical liberal Washington "establishment". And yet - not only Barnes' conclusion, but the premise is false. Bush is such a willing tool of the far more powerful corporate establishment, its like watching a trainwreck to read Barnes as he spins this cronyism as independence.
