I lose my keys in my apartment on a regular basis. For some reason hanging them up on the key hook when I walk in the door is beyond my level of comprehension. My significant other became sick of constantly badgering me to hang them up, so this was her remedy. In theory, this is a great idea. Honestly I can't believe it took this long for someone to create a practical solution to key loss. However, my Tile is probably the most unreliable piece of digital hardware I've ever purchased. It worked off and on for the first couple of months, and now it works maybe one out of every ten times I open the app. Trying to use the item has actually become more time consuming that just continuing to search for my keys. At $25 for such a simple piece of technology, I would think it would be more consistent. Out of frustration I went to the website to see if it was faulty, but under the FAQ it says they recommend buying a new one every year to ensure reliability. Wtf? So essentially I'm paying for a $25 yearly membership to keep from losing my keys?
