When I started to put this together, I couldn't believe the bars did not snap or screw into place. They are only held together by the tension of the mesh netting and the spring pad you jump on. You cannot put it in the yard, it must be on a flat surface or the frame starts to twist out of shape. The whole thing almost buckled when my son dragged it into the yard to play on it. We have had it for 8 months and the kids have already ripped the netting all along the bottom above the mesh spring pad and no, they do not wear their shoes in it. Really, they only had a month or 2 of actual use before cold weather set in. The mesh netting is a cheap nylon that is not nearly strong enough to maintain coherence under children's toy abuse. I doubt we will be able to continue to safely use it unless I develop a safer and more durable method of holding it all together. I wish I never bought it. **Update** Spoke with Skywalker Holdings LLC. The trampoline has a 1 yr warranty on everything except the netting and the foam pole coverings, those are 90 days. Funny those are the two parts that have failed, and after only 3 months of use. Apparently they know those parts are not sturdy and do not last. So instead of fixing the issue, they make it so they don't have to replace it when it fails. At least I found another company I wont purchase from again. I wish companies would still make products to last instead of cheap throw away's.
