I was so excited to receive this vacuum and had read so many positive reviews, but in truth, it is nothing more than a super expensive dust buster! I was searching for what appears to be non-exitant in the marketplace currently: a cordless, light weight, easy-to-maneuver vacuum cleaner with enough suction for both floors and carpets, with attachments for typical use that lasts long enough to actually clean your house without the battery giving out!!! This $400 vacuum cleaner seemed to have all that I was looking for, except a battery that lasts only 16 minutes and then takes 3.5 hours to re-charge. Dyson has really missed the mark here as I believe this to be a simple fix. If they had only designed the thing so that the battery could be removed and recharged while a second charged battery was snapped in, now providing 32 minutes of cleaning, we'd be all set. But as it is currently, the battery is fixed in place and lasts just long enough to thoroughly clean 1-2 rooms. Also, the dust bin is so small it must be emptied even before your paltry 16 minutes is up! All around, a design/price-point disaster...
