If a product is called "Hatchimals" you would assume they would hatch, right? Wrong. I pre-ordered my Hatchimal and everything was going fine until the toy wouldn't break from its shell. I called Spinmaster customer service and after manually breaking open the shell, the Draggle was still stuck on "egg mode". They sent me a replacement and we were so excited to see our Hatchimal finally hatch...but it was dead. Totally unresponsive. Worse than last time. Again, I have called Spinmaster customer service and they will send me another Hatchimal and hopefully this one will work. The plus side is their customer service is excellent, and they're going to have to be, because when Christmas time rolls around and all these kids have un-hatching Hatchimals they are going to be really, really busy. Try to persuade your child to want a different toy for Christmas, because if you go for the Hatchimals there's a very strong chance that it won't work which will lead to lots of holiday disappointment.
