Unable to VESA mount without additonal accessory
To be clear in the short time I've used this product the performance has been everything I hoped for. The pen feels amazing and natural, there's no fiddling with settings trying to get it to feel right and still being kind of off like I've experienced with the imitations. The screen looks good even if it's not top of the line and the matte coating has a nice texture to it. There is a noticeable parallax when you look for it but straight on it's not noticeable and didn't affect my ability to draw where I wanted. Coming from a 22" imitation I was a bit worried that it would feel too small but it pretty quickly felt OK and is noticeably smaller but doesn't feel like it's small enough to be limiting. I like the design and it's thin and light enough that you could travel with it (if you could find a bag for it). There's compromises from Wacom's Pro line to get a Cintiq at this price point but performance wise they're worth it if you can't spend $1000 more for the same size screen compared to the imitations I've used. That being said I have had an immensely frustrating experience with this product that's led me to heavily considering returning it. I don't have room for a tablet display on my desk and the Cintiq 16 has a 75mm VESA pattern on the back where the similarly specced and priced Pro 13 doesn't. Multiple Wacom sponsored reviews mentioned that this display was VESA mountable as well so that was enough to tip me towards this model. I go to attach it to my monitor arm and the standard screws don't go in all the way. I'm completely lost why this and only by accident while looking for why this is do I stumble across Amazon's listing for the optional stand which happens to have a single line about VESA arm mounting. So I go back and scour the Amazon listing and Wacom's product page and there's barely a mention of this stand let alone that it would be required because it might come with a 2mm spacer. If you have no intention of ever buying that stand you wouldn't even have ever looked at it to know that was the case (and even then it's still not super clear). An $80 accessory, that's back ordered for 2-3 months, is required to use the otherwise standard mounting points of the completely flat backed display that has no reason to require that. My other large gripe is one that can't be fixed with an additional accessory because there isn't one. I like the idea of the 3 in 1 cable overall but when it's less than 6 feet long it's kind of limiting. It would barely reach from where my computer is on one side of my desk to where the arm is on the other if I was running the cable around the back of my desk with all the others. At that point forget even being able to swing it around in front of me without buying third party extensions for the USB and HDMI and hoping for the best. Conversely the three parts of the power cable (3 in 1, brick, wall cable) are roughly 15-18 feet total. I don't understand why in a premium product where home and professional use cases are going to vary greatly Wacom couldn't even offer a 10' version of the cable or gone with the USB-C interface they have on other models. These oversights, which I know will be issues for other people with similar setups, are just that much more frustrating and disappointing when after waiting two weeks for the tablet to finally ship it actually lives up to that Wacom drawing performance you expect. I can't try to use it in my lap for two to three months though and it's enough to make the product potentially unusable if your setup doesn't accommodate that. So again this is not a reflection on the tablet's drawing capabilities but in the overall disappointment in the experience of the whole product and how it works, or doesn't, for me in the context of these unfortunate decisions by Wacom.
