I haven't even unpacked my PIC. This review is based on my negative experience with NuWave. I purchased my PIC through their website after my mom told me about the infomercial. She said they were having a special deal of buying one PIC, and you get a free bonus gift, and for paying additional shipping and handling ($29.95) you could get a second PIC for free. I went to the website, ordered a PIC, ordered the second one, and then I kept getting offers for additional items: the griddle, grill, second set of their ceramic coated frying pans (which was part of the Free Bonus), pot w/lid and steamer basket (again, came with the Free Bonus that came with first PIC). I got 2 griddles, 2 grills, and passed on the second set of the items that came with the Free Bonus. Since this item is an induction cooktop, you need special cookware, which I did not have, hence the wanting the Free Bonus items. I got my shipment and there were no Free Bonus items. I called their customer service to find about when I'd be getting them and I was told that it showed they were not "processed" for my order because I did not agree to pay additional shipping and handling for them. Okay, they were a FREE BONUS, it said nothing about additional shipping and handling, although the BOGO PIC did. I wasn't given and OPTION to pay for the shipping and handling therefore I expected I'd be getting them. So after arguing with a very condescending man on the phone about it, I was told I could return the items but I'd be out the shipping and handling charges (which for my 2 PICs, 2 griddles and 2 grills amounted to $90!) It became rather not worth it to return the items BUT I will NEVER recommend this company, nor buy another of their products, no matter how the PIC works out. Note, the website when I called the customer service rep only said "pay additional shipping and handling" on the second "free" (BOGO) PIC, and at the very bottom of the webpage showed the 2 PIC with the BOGO offer and the FREE BONUS with a note for the whole thing of "pay additional shipping and handling" but less than 24 hours after my call, the website was changed to add the "plus s&h" to the FREE BONUS items.
