This puppy failed me twice - I won't wait for a 3rd. As an electrical engineer, I should know better. You can't push 1,000 amps through those flimsy contacts! One of the other reviewers here got it right when he concluded this unit was only good for about 300 amps. Yesterday I went shopping and when I got back to my car it was deader than a door nail. With a 1000 amp booster my engine should have cranked over like nothing! Wow what a disappointment that was! I was finally able to get the car started by waiting 10 minutes while the booster charged up the battery. This unit is crap, I'm going back to the old type monster booster that can really crank out the amps! Yup, they're ugly but they work, and when you're stranded you won't care how ugly it looks! And why the 2 stars, you ask? Well because it looks cool - but looks won't start your car!
