Scenery great, script and acting dreadful
I love Tolkien's work. Jackson's Lord of the Ring trilogy was the best Fantasy movies of all time. This reminded me of the poor scripts and acting of MTV's Shannara Chronicles that were also disappointing. I watched both episodes hoping it would get better and was deeply disappointed. The character development was lousy and I cared nothing for any of the characters. I'll probably watch the whole series, but doubt I will watch it more than once. LOTR I have watched every year since released.
