I purchased this unit 17 months ago. Used it outdoors in the back yard to turn on/ off a fountain. It stopped working a few weeks ago. I finally got to check it: the remote function is still working, the AC switch and its surrounding circuit seem completely damaged by humidity. This unit does not qualify for outdoors. Since its housing is built from two units attached together and held by 4 screws, at least put silicon on the screws heads (they are totally rusted) and all around the joining contact of the two parts. You might also want to put silicon around the LED, especially if you don't need to verify it's working from afar.
