LOOK CAREFULLY at the product description befor buying! If you want to hold something fairly permanently, these would work. But the description title is NOT CLEARLY identified in the heading that these are the "HD" (Hard to remove) version of the snap clamps. If you want to use clamps for row covers, you need to find the "EZ" (easy to use over and over again, easy to release) version. If you try to use the "HD" version, the row covers will tear when you try to remove them.
