I didn't use my CL800 for several months after I received it, and when I went to use it, a solid tone occurs when I put it in the Voltage selection. I can clear the tone by changing to a different option, but as soon as I touch a button the tone starts again. In the past month, I've contacted Klein Tools tech support 5 times to remedy the problem. Each time I was promised someone was going to call me back, and that never happened until today. Chuck, the tech support guy for the CL800 continuously talked over me and tried to explain the concept of Amazon vendors, which I needed no explanation of. He was very condescending and probably has no business communicating with the general public. He tried to blame the problem on me even though I explained it was like this out of the box. Finally, he had Kathy (Cathy?) call me back from customer service. She informed me that Amazon is not an authorized vendor for the their products, but they stand behind their products, so they would do me a favor and honor the warranty with my Amazon invoice. Now, I've got to ship the tool (at my expense) back to the company, and at some point (she couldn't provide an estimate of how long), they'll send a new meter to back to me at no charge. I've bought several Klein products in the past, but I've never had to deal with their tech/customer support. After the experience I've had with this company, I'll never buy another one of their products again.
