The shell of this helmet is nice. The strap that holds it to your baby's head is nice. But both shell and strap are pretty useless if they aren't securely connected together. I left the helmet hanging from my handlebars overnight and the next morning the strap is still hanging off the bike but the shell is on the floor. The two are supposed to be attached by some velcro, but velcro is just barely glued to the shell. The glue failed, leaving both sides of the velcro attached to the strap. Just to be clear: there was no real stress on that attachment point, no abuse, and no crash: the thing just fell apart. I'm just glad that in my case it failed overnight and not in a crash. For my money I got about two weeks worth of use and a false sense of security. Most of all, though, I'm pretty mad that Schwinn made such a terrible product and put my daughter's safety at risk. I strongly advise that you buy a different helmet.
