I purchased the Omega Vert after reading many reviews and viewing head to head comparisons on line. The product was very disappointing. First the pros: The machine looks nice. It is fairly compact, with a footprint slightly larger than a blender. Now the cons: My favorite juice is green. I was swayed towards this machine over the 8000 series because it appeared that the feed shoot was larger, which meant faster juicing, and the clean up was easier. I wanted a machine that was easy to use and made quality juice. The feed shoot is incrementally larger than the 8000 series - not enough to make a difference in the time it takes to juice - you will need to cut your produce into small pieces for either product. The major problem with this machine is that greens clog the narrow expel shoot which causes a back-up of juice all over the base. I never had juice flow down the base, but when the bowl was removed, juice was found underneath the bowl. In fact, you can see the shoot get clogged as you juice. Initially, pulp flows out, but after a minute or so, only half of the shoot remains open. I called Omega - they were excellent. Initially, they had me replace an o-ring, which did not solve the problem. Then they had me use mineral oil around the o-ring. Then they replaced the entire bowl. The problem persisted. If you flip over the bowl, you will see a yellow flimsy silicon stopper that abuts the expel shoot. As the shoot gets clogged the stopper simply does not work. I think the combination of tiny narrow shoot and flimsy yellow stopper are the culprits. If you juice soft items, like fruit juices, the machine is totally fine. I called Amazon & explained the problems - as usual, awesome customer service. I returned the Omega Vert without hassle and purchased in its place the Omega 8006. I totally love it. Much easier to assemble, easier to clean up, excellent quality juice and no clogging. In fact. the footprint is not significantly bigger than the Vert, and the feed shoot is not significantly smaller. I totally love this machine and would recommend it highly! Happy juicing!
