It was a great toothbrush when it worked. And my dentist said my teeth looked great and so clean. However this is my fourth Sonicare toothbrush that has failed over the years. Usually it fails with a leak in a gasket or the button, or the actuator assembly. All have failed in this fashion. Sonicare improved the charging mechanism on this model. However as predicted, the gasket beneath the button assembly failed and produced a leak into the handle. Now the device will no longer charge, or turn on. And this usually happens right after the manufacturer warranty expires.. Update.. Contacted Sonicare about my broken device. The conversation just amounted to... 'Sorry, you're out of warranty. Buy another one sucker.' They have no care for their customers and leave you hanging once your warranty expires.
