Total waste of time.

Maybe, except the characters are complete idiots and Robert Heinlein would never, ever, have written this unbelievably stupid story. I got this as a BookBub deal for $1.99 and it was a complete waste of time and money. The idea that any competent agency would assemble this team of psychos (One with a narcissistic personality and another described as having "hyper schizophrenic personality disorder") for an interstellar journey is total lunacy. When faced with choices they always do the dumbest thing possible in order to put themselves into deeper trouble. The natives are just as stupid and psychotic. Throw in a little modern PC gender idiocy and you have a full blown red hot throbbing carbuncle of a novel. It's not even a good basis for an action/horror movie like "Aliens". This is like that ad on the TV where the kids are faced with the choice of getting into the running car or hiding in the shed full of dangling chainsaws. Please allow me to be the cautionary example and don't waste your time.
