This should not be advertised as protection against chewing. As kittens, it worked fine. But as they grew they got more persistent. I followed the instructions to burn the ends, almost to the point of overkill. My cat Mango chewed at the ends enough to make it unravel and swallowed long stands of the plastic material. It would not pass through his intestines and caused severe inflammation, vomiting, and sudden loss of appetite to where he is losing weight. Between the vet bill and missing work. I'm out $1500.
