IN SHORT.....It is a terrible transfer! The HDR grade that was performed was pushed too far and thus destroying the image. Gone are the nice soft glows, replaced with hard clipped huge chunky noise and over-bright image data. Some noise is to be expected, but this noise is actual digital image break-down. Look at E.T. and Bladerunner for MUCH better examples of how to transfer and HDR grade. Although E.T. suffers from some more subtle versions of the over-grade terror C.E. has, admittedly. They screwed the pooch on this one big time. I actually want a refund. The 1080p Blu-ray looks much better. It may lack all the POP but at least the gorgeous visuals are not ruined in to, what can be best described as, an 8-Bit sh-- plastered across the screen. P.S. Yes my system is calibrated and yes all other UHD HDR movies look fantastic.
