I'm actually surprised at the number of positive reviews for this chair. It's really not comfortable at all! The main issue is there is a bulge at the base on the backrest (right against your lower back) and it feels like you're sitting on something that shouldn't be there. As a recliner, it's even less comfortable. The bulge digs into your back -- imagine laying in a bed with a big, stiff pillow under your lower back. Also, the foot rest is mostly fabric with a little rectangular piece of wood (or something) and the edge of the wood makes it uncomfortable as it digs into your body. Also, the reclining action is completely controller by your body weight -- there's no lever or anything. If you shift your body weight, the chair will 'un-recline' -- its almost a chore to keep it reclined. It's OK as a regular chair, but if you want a recliner to relax in and be comfortable -- spend a little more money and get something else.
