Good motor, GARBAGE pitcher
The design of this and the strength of the motor is great, but the pitcher is ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. This is the second Ninja Master Prep like this I have purchased (first was the Ninja QB1000 Master Prep). I only bought this one because a replacement 48 oz pitcher off of Ninja's website was about the same price for JUST a pitcher.
I have always bought these with a warranty off Amazon, but still have to argue and plead for a replacement pitcher after the original develops cracks in the plastic. And they always do. I'm making smoothies with thawed (soft) frozen strawberries, whey powder, yogurt, almond butter and water, so it's not an issue of blending something too hard. After about 2 uses, cracks develop from where the blade sits and spins. The cracks just get worse with each use until either the sides of the pitcher split, or the plastic bits inside the base break off and end up in your mixture.
Again, it's a great design, so I have covered the cracks with gorilla tape in the hopes of prolonging its lifespan, but eventually the insides will break off and end up in your mouth. I just wish they would make these out of a stronger plastic or reinforce the bottom because I have gone through AT LEAST 4 replacement pitchers.
I threw out my final pitcher this morning after chewing up hard plastic yet again. Time to find a new blender, and this one will not be Ninja.
