I've been wearing Levis 505 in 12Short length for many years and this has always been a perfect length for me- i.e., 30" inseam. This pair came and they are a good 2 inches longer than that and have to be rolled. I washed them to see if the length would get better, but it didn't-- still 2 inches too long. So beware--if they're too long when you buy them, send them back-they're not going to get better. I don't know if what I got is just a badly made pair, or if they are all this much longer than in the past. Also, the fabric is MUCH thinner and MUCH stretchier than the previous pairs of 505s I've worn. Not really very 'jeans-like". They are comfortable but very thin and not sure how they'll wear. When you order, note that the fabric is different depending on the color you buy-- some colors are still the old mix of 98% cotton with just a little stretchy stuff, whereas the Ambiance color is a different mix entirely. So one 505 is not necessarily the same as another 505-- the fabric depends on the color. These supposedly straight leg jeans are also quite wide at the bottom--so much so that they really have more of a bell shape, and very different from the other pairs of 505s I have in my closet.
