I am writing to express a grave concern regarding this item that was recently purchased for our new puppy. We just started using this item last week. This item is intended to be moved/taken apart. The poles that are inserted between 2 panels have a plastic end cap on each end (the top of the pole has a flat cap and the bottom has a pointed cap). The top flat caps began falling off on the FIRST use. I didn't think much of it and put them back on. However, after a few days of our new puppy using the playpen, we noticed she was choking. Like REALLY choking. After a chaotic emergency scene full of the Heimlich and sticking our hands down the dog's throat, we were able to dislodge a white plastic top cap from the playpen. This was not without a bloody scene due to the poor dog freaking out as she couldn't breath and biting my mother. It was lodged in her throat and could have easily caused permanent damage or death. To make matters worse, my toddler was also found that same day with one of the caps in his mouth - but thankfully we were able to divert that crisis. I am appalled that Amazon would sell such an unsafe product. No reasonable person would expect that the end caps would fall off of a new product creating a hazardous situation for children and pets.
