★★☆☆☆
Does the job, but doesn't seem secure enough.
Same issues. Hard to complain, as it is a very cheap and effective trailer hitch bike rack for under 100 bucks. I think the weak spot seems to be the "filler plates". That is where I notice the most lateral movement, and since the top of the rack extends for about 2 feet, a half cm will translate into a couple of inches of movement at the top. I had minimal issues on the highway, since I was at a constant speed, but any bump or change in momentum causes the bike and the rack to drastically sway. This probably looks worrisome to drivers behind me. I doubt I would feel comfortable using this for any extended period of time, as I don't know what would happen to the welding. I will take the filler plate apart and see if I can make that area more snug to minimize movement... Update: I bought their version that carries 4 bikes. The only differences (MOST important one), is that the hitch is fitted for ONLY a 2 inch receiver. There are no filler plates, so I was able to get a more secure connection, with no wobble. If you have a 2 inch receiver I suggest picking up the Allen 4-bike hitch for secure attachment and peace of mind. The other major difference, is that there are no weld points, because the hitch attachment is a single piece.
