This seems like a good product and feels solid. It’s certainly a great concept — function and form. But, when plugged into an HP Elitebook it immediately killed the internal laptop power supply (on two separate laptops). The laptops needed to be replaced and this power supply was returned. It’s not clear how this happened, and it’s certainly not a desired outcome. I can only presume that it works better with other devices. Update: the selling company contacted me to offer a refund and asked that this review be either deleted or upgraded. While the offer is understood, it remains objectively true that this device is not compatible with HP Elitebook laptops (with a serious consequence). It’s not suitable in the present design for the HP Elitebook product. Suggest that the makers of this product update it to make it compatible rather than asking for objective reviews to be deleted.
