Not Anything Like the Picture - Going Back
Let me start by saying that we have owned several artificial trees over the years. I consider myself knowledgeable about the products and price points, and also familiar with how artificial tree branches need to be opened up to look good. I selected this tree because the picture on Amazon looked good and I liked the dual-mode LEDs - what could be better, my wife could have her white lights and the kids could enjoy the multi-colored lights. However, this tree looks nothing like the picture. It is not even close. We took it out of the box and set it up. We fluffed out the branches and the tree is not full. In fact, it was embarrassingly bare. There were way too many gaps and open spaces for a tree at this price point. What's worse, the needles are not shaped to look like real needles, so there is no realism to the branches. The needles are simply flat strands of nylon (kind of like dental tape) and not the molded or cast needles like other trees. They have no sense of realism at all. I am looking at the picture on Amazon's site again, and cannot believe they shipped me the right tree. Like I said, it is not even close. A couple years ago, we bought a relatively low cost pre-lit artificial tree at Lowe's for our vacation home, and it looks orders of magnitude better than this one. This tree is not worth the $300.00+ price tag, and (aside from the dual mode LED lights, which are cool) this tree belongs at the discount stores for 79.99. Don't be fooled by the picture. You are best to pass on this one.
