Tolkien is Tolkien and this is not.
JRR Tolkien's works are timeless and beloved. They are enjoyed by millions, featured in song, and comprise some of the most purchased literary works of all time. To drift so far from the source material while using its name is reprehensible. To discard so many ready-made fans is just a poor business decision. Much like the various 'Dune' offerings, I look forward to a future show that does Tolkien justice and remains truer to his work.
