We bought this for my daughter's second birthday. My husband is an emergency room physician and absolutely will not let us buy a larger trampoline because of all of the injuries he's seen. However, our daughter LOVES to jump. He is okay with the smaller trampoline, in terms of safety. It was difficult and time-consuming to put this together, but so, so worth it. Our daughter absolutely loves it. She could spend hours in it if we let her. We had a July 4 cookout and kids from 1-8 jumped in it and had a blast too. There was a competition to see which kid could jump the highest. One kid pulled up his knees and was able to clear the top with his feet. I love that the bottom has a little skirt around it so kids can't crawl underneath and get jumped on. Very good. I love that it's so lightweight that I can take it from the driveway in the front of the house to the backyard without a problem--and by myself. I just grab a blue bar and sling it over my shoulder. I also love that the bungees are on the outside of the net so fingers can't get caught. We noticed at the cookout that kids would sit on that green cover on the outside of the net to wait for their turn (or to pout if it wasn't their turn and they wanted it to be). I do worry about those kids getting their fingers caught in the bungees. But there aren't springs--just bungees--so that's at least less likely to injure a kid. I read one review that said that the bungees created a different feel than the traditional springs other trampolines have. I was nervous about buying this trampoline because of that. However, we haven't noticed a difference. And, more importantly, our two-year old is a-okay with it. Now some things we don't love... It moves. If we have it in our driveway or on our deck, it moves when our daughter jumps in it. So, if it's on the deck near the stairs, that's not safe. It's important to zip the entry shut when your child gets in it. If you don't zip it, the child can very easily fall through the hole that it the entry. It's a double-sided zipper, so our daughter can unzip it when she's in there. If she unzips it to leave and then decides to stay and bounce, that's a safety issue. Just keep an eye out. I also read some reviews that talked about the padding being thin. That's true. It's very thin and I wonder how it will hold up for multiple seasons if we leave it outside. Because it is wider than a doorway, we can't move it from the inside to the outside. I was hoping that we'd be able to pop the frame of the net off to get it inside quickly if rain is coming. It's not that easy. We may move it under the deck or to the garage for the winter--moving it inside would be time-consuming and require us to disassemble it. UPDATE 8/18/16 We used this trampoline primarily in the summer, so I'd say we got a few months worth of use from it. We stored it outside in the autumn, winter, and fall because you have to disassemble it to get it inside and that's really tricky. I took photos, but basically the trampoline netting and safety rail have fallen apart. What started as a small tear in the netting that we got in the first few days became a complete tear that makes the trampoline unusable. The safety rail also came apart. I assume that's from the kids holding on it to jump. The metal safety bar came detached from itself and the styrofoam safety covering has come off. I'm uploading photos of all of this for you to see. This started as a 5 star trampoline and I'm moving it to 2 stars because it did not survive more than one season.
