Easier to sleep with the QC35's - these feel like pebbles in my ears
Was really excited to have these work. I am a very light sleep but I fall asleep quickly. Usually in the middle of the night the sound of the distant train, neighbors coming up the stairwell or just car noises outside would wake me up without fail. Perhaps it could be as light as the sprinklers coming on at 3AM. I have tried all sorts of sleep aids ranging from white noise machines to sound proofing windows to ear plugs.
With these sleep pods, they are essentially the nature sounds alarm clock you see at bed bath and beyond but inside your ears. The ambient noises it created would be perfect for a meditation session. However, when I fell alseep with these on, a few hours later I would have a painful feeling inside my ear near the ear drum where it unfortunately presses against during the night. I tried the different size plugs and played with wedging it at different angles as not to compress. However, in the end no joy. I have to return these back to Bose - which is an amazing company.
I own 2 sets of QC35's and my best hack so far is to have my iPad play the nature sound while I have the QC's keeping my head facing forward. It works 50% of the time if I'm in a loud bedroom but I have to take them off after a while. At $200, they are the most comfortable headphones in the world as long as you replace the ear pads annually, they are awesome.
