I purchased this mattress protector thinking it would...protect my mattress. When I recently went to strip the bed I found that the protector lining had disintegrated all over the mattress and that my mattress now has some sort of stain where the protector degraded. I'm very disappointed; I've had this item for less than 3 years and it's never gone in the dryer. I'll stick with a less expensive non-tempurpedic protector in the future.
