★★☆☆☆
Brush never turns off so it burns itself out.
I'll start off with that we have two large Bernese Mountain dogs in an apartment. Which means I get to vacuum at least once and sometimes twice a day.
The suction is great and picks up tons of hair and dirt. My only complaint is that it has started making a squeaking noise already after just a few weeks of use. Found out the wheels tend to collect dog hair, causing the squeaking. Easy fix with some pressured air.
Not bad for the price though!
EDIT: September 29.
In August the brush part stopped working. The part that spins created so much friction it basically melted the moving parts together. NO biggie, it can happen. I had it happen to a previous Bissell, but then after 5+ years of daily use. I figured it was just bad luck. So I went ahead and bought a new brush part.
Now it's not even a month later and the brush part has done the EXACT SAME THING!!!
I clean my vacuums religiously (had my previous one for nearly 10 years, still worked just replaced it due to suction loss), so it isn't due to debris/hair build up.
Not so happy about this little vacuum cleaner now :(
Update: January 2018
I wanted to give this vacuum cleaner one more chance and replaced the brush again.... aaaaaand... it's just as bad again.
I think the problem is is that the brush doesn't turn off when using the attachments/hand tool, burning itself out.
Great suction, if only the brush would turn off when clicking it upright/using the attachments.
I am now in the market for a new vacuum cleaner.
