For starters, Synchronicity is a misnomer. According to Amazon, my charges are supposed to go through the last day of the month - BUT Synchronicity files the charge on the 18th, nearly two weeks early. Out of sync? Second, the 28% interest rate is highway robbery. My bank charges me 8.15% on my credit card. CitiBank charges me 12.99%. I have good credit. Synchronicity (formerly GE) is a scam targeting lower-income consumers. It is also the largest credit card company on earth - yes, bigger than Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc. Third, I cannot even log onto the Synchronicity website to view the overcharges. I get this error message: Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to www.synchronycredit.com. Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s). (Error code: ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap) LAST, I changed my preferred Amazon payment card to CitiBank (which Amazon confirms), but Synchronicity refuses to accept that change and continues to charge me the amount already paid through CitiBank (PLUS late fees for not paying TWICE!). Amazon has credited me with these payments, but Synchronicity won't. Amazon says I owe $0.00 - Synchronicity says I owe $39.60. Amazon is hurting its reputation by using Synchronicity. I'd give this Amazon Store Card a -5 if I could.
