Dewalt is not the company it used to be.
The one star goes to Amazon. I ordered the DCCS620P1 Dewalt chain saw. Received a DCCS620. Don’t know what the difference is but assume the model numbers have meaning. My gripe is about the oil reservoir cap. Page 11 of the instruction manual states to “flip down the locking lever and unscrew counterclockwise a quarter turn and then remove the oil cap.” There is not a locking lever and the cap will not rotate. When you lift the cheap piece of hard rubber up and try to get the oil cap to rotate the rubber piece breaks. I finally got the cap to rotate by using a pencil and hammer. (The cap is not threaded, rather, it locks to two pins which takes more force than the cheap rubber can handle. I called Dewalt customer service and were of no help. The guy I talked with had no product knowledge whatsoever and only offered to have his manager call me. So, if you buy this chainsaw plan on using a large cork to plug the oil reservoir. Don’t waste your time being on hold for up to an hour waiting to talk to a customer service representative that knows nothing about their products. I am going to return the product to Amazon for a refund. Footnote: Page one of the instruction manual (item 2) points to a lock off lever which does not exist. I doubt that they would design an oil reservoir cap locking feature 6 inches away from the oil cap.
