I live in Alaska and I obviously assumed when the description says this unit comes pre-loaded with US maps, that it includes Alaska, because guess what Garmin, ALASKA IS IN THE UNITED STATES! That's right guys, we've been a state since 1959. Look at a map. There we are right there with the rest of the US. We aren't drawn to scale, because that makes Texas feel bad, but we are on the map. Now come to find out there is another unit that includes Canada maps and costs more that actually includes Alaska. ALASKA IS NOT IN CANADA! I repeat, Alaska is not in Canada! I can't believe I need to tell you this. We are leaving on a trip now and I don't have time to return this and buy another unit. It's very disheartening to find that my GPS which allegedly comes preloaded with US maps, with lifetime updates, is actually missing 18.2% of the US. Yes, that's right Garmin. Alaska is 18.2% of the freaking United States and you not only failed to deliver it, but you expect me to pay extra for all of Canada, just to get the 18.2% that you failed to deliver. How in the heck do you get away with shorting your customers nearly 1/5th of the promised product? Go to school Garmin. Figure it out. I'm tired of being discriminated against because I live in Alaska.
