Long story short: Definitely watch this movie if you like action, but DO NOT buy/rent it from Amazon. Find a video service that provides the original Indonesian audio track, as the forced English dub will ruin the movie for you. This is coming from an English speaker who does not know a single word of Indonesian: The English audio track is beyond terrible and it drains the emotion and gravity of every scene when a character speaks. I purchased The Raid 2 on Amazon a few years ago to watch for the first time and did not regret it at all. It was easily one of the most impressive and gruesome action movies I had ever seen, and I rewatched it many times since then. However, after revisiting the movie just now, I've found that Amazon has forced a beyond terrible english dub on my video purchase. The new english audio track contains immensely cheesy, dispassionate, and outlandish voice "acting", if you can call it that. After hearing just a few sentences, I can say for sure that I would prefer to have the original audio with english subtitles, just like how it was when I first bought the movie. The worst part is that Amazon doesn't give you a choice to revert it, there is only an English dub now.
