Interesting book.... but
It attempts to make the case that the president is an "outside of the beltway" type. Looking at this from an independant perspective, this claim is 100% false. I am not saying that Bush is a bad president. Many make the claim, many dispute that. But this is ridiculous. Perhaps never in United States history has a president been to well connected to the establishment (for the love of god, his father was the President!). His buddies are all big oil, and I say this not in a conspiracy-laden way- only to point out the sheer insanity of claiming that he is an "outside the beltway" guy. I would go so far as to say that short of John McCain, this book being written about any politician is ludicrous... but Bush??? You've got to be kidding me.
