I am a 56 year old male that was experiencing shoulder pain and stiffness due to an old injury. I decided to give collagen a shot and decided on this brand. Normally, I buy supplements hoping that their claims of doing this or that work out. The vast majority of the time they do not. However, this product did provide me with a modest benefit. The range of motion increased in my shoulder and the constant dull ache subsided somewhat. I suspect this is from the Type II collagen. I can't say that I've noticed any other benefits. I don't know if it helped my hair or nails at all but, then again, I am an old guy and I am not sure I would notice this anyways. Although this product did provide some relief, I probably will not be purchasing this brand again as I may seek out a product with a higher concentration of Type II collagen. Update: I have now discovered that my bottle contains significantly less than the 90 pills listed. At 3 pills a day, a bottle should have lasted 4 weeks. I will be running out prior to the end of the 3 week period. I have reduced my review to 1 star. I will not purchase this product again. Further, I will stay away from any and all Dr. Emil products.
