I like the fire stick but there are some issues. Unfortunately the remote is defective. This is my biggest concern. The volume buttons and mute button don’t work. These were the things I was looking forward to most in the upgrade. Furthermore, the cord (even including the extender) is shorter than necessary. It can barely reach the plug from my wall mounted tv, even though the plug is only mildly offset and the tv is not abnormally high. It definitely can’t reach the plug without the extender. Lastly, I don’t like that my information is in the device prior to me putting it in there. I was confused and concerned since I recently bought other fire sticks as gifts. Update: I tried buying the amazon fire stick again hoping that it would have fewer problems. This one the volume buttons work but the internet cuts off all the time. I have to buffer for 10m to watch 10m. I do not have this issue on my computer, phone, or roku tv. Because of the issues I have to lower to one star. I really wanted to like this device because I like amazon, but I guess it’s not amazons products that I like, just their fast shipping.
