not as good as homemade, especially considering the price
We've made this for years, but bought some just to try a non-homemade version of this traditional folk remedy that has existed for decades in many forms under the term "fire cider". I figured if somebody took the time to legally trademark the term, it must be pretty great! Well, the price took me aback first of all, because it's pretty easy to make this for yourself at a fraction of the cost. But I figured, "Hey, they trademarked the name 'fire cider', they must be pretty good at it." Nope, it was normal fire cider, just really really really expensive, and plus they legally trademarked a phrase that had existed long before this company ever did, thus forcing others who have always made it themselves who might want to sell it on a local level not be able to use that standardly used term.
