This product did absolutely nothing to prevent our car from being stolen. There were issues in our neighborhood so we got this device to help prevent OUR car from being stolen. It was securely locked in place but we still came out one morning to find an empty parking space not two weeks after starting to use this!! It’s useless in every sense of the word. It was not a deterrent nor a theft prevention device. Don’t waste your money. The story has a happy ending - while looking for the car at local apartments, we actually pulled up behind it on the road! Some dumb kids decided to take it for a joyride in the very neighborhood they stole it from. Yay for dumb criminals!! Apparently they had a ring going and the police had been trying to catch them and finally were able to thanks to our dumb luck. But this product had zero useful impact on the situation.
