We've had this vacuum for 4 months now and it's garbage. It worked fine at first but I have replaced the belt at least 5 times in the last two months. Hair builds up and gets stuck in the chamber where the belt is and then the belt burns-out. Several pieces of plastic have also broken off the unit - and we have not used it improperly. We've had other Bissell units that have lasted 5+ years - but this unit may not make it another month of use. We use it once a week. Perhaps it's better to go with another manufacturer now.
