The Negative: I run hot but didn't have the same issue with my old 2" memory foam pad which was a different brand. This pad added a lot of heat to the bed. Although I only used it for one night, when I woke up and started my morning exercises on the bed I noticed how hot I was and how quickly the area I sank into heated up. There was enough of a difference in temperature to consider returning the pad after removing it and resuming my exercises. There's also a protective cover on the new mattress but I don't believe that does much to add heat or padding. The other issues are height and sinking. I'm 5'5 and the 3" pad makes it more difficult than I thought to get on and off the bed and my new mattress is already higher than I want. Although I figured out the measurements, using the matress and pad in person is different. I didn't expect to be able to use a fitted sheet with this build, but the flat sheet doesn't cover the matress with the added 3" and there's no way I can tuck in a sheet. The sinking isn't uncomfortable but does make it difficult to move around the bed. The Positive: It feels well made, inflated in a few hours or less, has a nice cover made to keep the pad in place (which it does) and fits my queen sized bed well. I also believe it helped with aches and pains and for that reason may give it another try. A taller person who doesn't run hot may have a completely different experience. Final Take Away: It's too hot, a 3" pad added more height than I'm comfortable with, moving around was difficult, I didn't care for the sinking feeling and I couldn't cover up the mattress with any kind of sheet or comforter which left the bed looking unmade and sloppy. But a taller person who doesn't run hot may have better luck and getting a 2" pad would help with height. The smell is bad but it's supposed to goes away in a few days and I haven't had it long enough to tell.
