I just opened the Amazon box and examined the portfolio for the first time. The portfolio includes a writing tablet, but the tablet is a nonstandard size that is small than any size in common use in the US. It appears that the product illustration shows this unusual size writing tablet, which suggests that there is more room inside the portfolio than there actually is. When a standard US letter size tablet from Staples, Office Depot, etc., is placed into the portfolio the page barely clears the zipper. Some readers might not care about the details of the measurements, but I want to provide them. If I had known about this issue, I would not have purchased the product: US letter size paper is 8.5 in by 11 in. A letter size writing pad is bound at the top, so some additional space is required for the binding, so the tablet requires 11.8 in of vertical space. The included pad is somewhat smaller. If the binding at the top is included, the height is 10.9 in. Once a page is torn off, however, the detached page size is 9.9. in tall. The width is also a bit smaller than US letter, at 8.1 in.
